
HVAC Refrigeration Technician

Overview
This role involves operating, inspecting, and maintaining HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment in assigned facilities to ensure efficient operation and longevity of systems. The technician will focus on troubleshooting and repairing systems to minimize downtime and improve energy efficiency.
Responsibilities
Perform ongoing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and installed systems and equipment
Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC/R systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, and building interior/exterior repairs
Conduct inspections and report on conditions affecting client occupancy and operations
Complete hazard assessments and ensure safety procedures are followed
Maintain compliance with relevant ordinances, codes, and laws
Drive as needed and possess a valid state driver’s license
Submit receipts and update work orders in real-time using CMMS systems
Attend safety meetings and escalate issues appropriately
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent work experience
Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering, with strong HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and equipment repair skills
HVAC Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment)
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Certifications/licenses as required by jurisdiction
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Word and Excel
Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC
Shift
This position may require availability for call-in work and being added to an on-call schedule as needed. Candidates must be prepared to respond to calls as directed by employer.
