Job Summary
Reporting to the Administrative Coordinator, the Zoom Proctor is responsible for monitoring Zoom rooms, including distributing and collecting students’ assignments, proctoring quizzes, and troubleshooting Zoom equipment issues by following directions given by appropriate IT and technical support personnel. This is not a remote position.
Job Duties
Monitors Zoom Room, including distributing or collecting students’ assignments, proctoring quizzes/exams, and troubleshooting Zoom equipment issues by following directions given by appropriate IT technical support personnel.
Provides Zoom training to faculty and appropriate staff on the assigned campus.
Assists students with questions and minor technical issues associated with the Learning Resource Center.
Assists faculty, the campus director, and other personnel, as needed (providing instructional supplies, making copies, creating and posting signage, preparing and sending interoffice mail, answering the phones, etc.).
Greets, directs, and assists visitors and students, including directions to appropriate classroom or campus building as assigned.
Provides classroom or laboratory access as requested by the instructor(s).
Performs first-level diagnosis and troubleshooting support for end‑users of technologies supported by the College’s Media Services and IT units.
Assists with multimedia system technology installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and provides support to end‑users.
Assists with preventative maintenance and inventory of on‑site computer, multimedia equipment and peripheral devices.
Completes other duties as assigned by supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Six months of clerical and/or customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
An associate degree from an accredited institution.
Three months' school or work experience related to computer use, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
Conversational ability or fluency in a second language.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Technology Skills: MS Office suite; videoconferencing software; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems.
