
Temporary Lab Technician

Our client, a leader in the scientific industry, is seeking a Temporary Lab Technician to support an Analytical and Environmental Services team within a refining and chemical analysis environment. This role will assist with laboratory testing and support activities related to environmental and analytical services, including PFAS water sample testing, and will involve close collaboration with a team of scientists and technical staff.
Job Title: Temporary Lab Technician
Location: Catlettsburg, KY
Responsibilities
Conducting method development and validation
Supporting implementation and maintenance of quality systems
Performing analytical and laboratory testing as needed
Preparing, handling, and documenting samples in accordance with established procedures
Following all established safety protocols and demonstrating a high level of integrity and attention to detail in all aspects of the role
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a science‑related field with at least 16 credit hours of chemistry
Strong academic record demonstrating proficiency in relevant subjects
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi‑task
Good organizational skills
Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office products
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
Experience with PFAS testing
Experience with mass spectrometry and/or environmental water testing
