Role Summary
As an Assembly Operator within our brand‑new WM, America Manufacturing Inc. site, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our products meet or exceed customer requirements and standards. You will be responsible for product movement, monitoring, and identifying quality issues to achieve required quality standards. You will be involved in proposing continuous improvement initiatives and opportunities for the business to excel.

Key Areas of Focus

Assisting with 5S and Safety tasks associated with good manufacturing practices

Manufacturing of peristaltic pumps, tubing‑based single‑use assemblies, and re‑packaged goods

Collecting and recording relevant process data

Assisting engineering with validation and experimental activities

Identifying opportunities for improvement throughout the manufacturing process and working with team members to recommend and implement solutions

What you’ll be doing

Follow company procedures and directives

Maintain the tools used to create products

Keep a clean and well‑maintained workspace

Comply with company regulations and operating procedures

Maintain a helpful and collaborative culture through communication and a strong work ethic

Cross‑train as required within the Value Stream

Carry out any other activities to support the business as required

Utilize the escalation process when appropriate

Safety

You will maintain an in‑depth knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations, which will allow you to safely operate machinery and use resources appropriately.

As an assembler, you will aim to be as efficient and consistent as possible when putting together a product with excellent eye‑hand coordination.

Customer Focus
You will focus on correct quantities of components, checking quality of completed items, managing parts inventory and potentially use hand tools and mechanical equipment to produce structurally sound products and structures safely.

Excellence
You should troubleshoot problems with issued equipment and service it to ensure it works properly.

You are highly efficient and will have complete expertise in products that you put together.

You will use critical thinking to quickly interpret schematics and identify possible misprints or issues in the quality of materials you use.

You will support in the development and fostering of a broad quality community across Supply, Sales, Product and Design functions.

You will create and monitor appropriate KPIs and targets for quality to analyse performance and drive improvement.

You will ensure regulatory compliance.

You will develop and implement best practice processes and principles, through review of internal best practices, external trends and external networks.

Collaboration
You will be an excellent communicator to carry out production instructions from beginning to end with the help of other manufacturing specialists on the line.

As a WMFTS Assembler you should be a “people person” who can work well with a team and collaborate with people from other departments to help meet customer expectations.

You will engage with other parts of the business to effectively embed the Company values.

You will represent WM, America Manufacturing Inc. and WMFTS at internal and external events, conferences and meetings where appropriate.

Compensation
This position offers a salary range of USD 36,244.00 – 49,036.00 (Salaried). Final salary offers are determined by multiple factors, including education, experience, internal equity, geographic location, and the candidate’s expertise, and therefore may vary from the range listed. For roles based outside Massachusetts, the applicable salary range may be lower.
