The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a
Facilities Maintenance Technician II
to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
The
Facilities Maintenance Technician II
will be responsible for ensuring the hotel's facilities, guest rooms, and public areas are maintained to the highest luxury standards by inspecting and carrying out repairs of all areas within the hotel supporting a seamless guest experience.
Responsibilities
Execute assigned tasks, projects or programs as instructed by department management and ensure completion competently within a given time.
Maintain logs, record sheets, and day-to-day events, ensuring they are correctly completed and kept up to date prior to the end of shift.
Respond to work requests from hotel guests or senior management within a given time; record actions taken.
Report to management any maintenance requests that are not completed by the end of the shift.
Obtain daily assignments via the CMMS (Centralized Maintenance Management System) at the start of each shift.
Identify ideas and product improvements to continuously meet guests\' expectations.
Demonstrate knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: fire life safety, health, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, laundry, spa, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and thorough cleanup of the repair area and/or general building.
Qualifications

3-5 years hands-on experience working around mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, finishing.
High school or equivalent education required.
Ability to obtain and/or maintain any required licenses, certificates or permits.
Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
Physical demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and prolonged periods of standing.
