Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Awake Overnight (NOC)

Position Summary
We are hiring a Part-Time Awake Overnight Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support adults with disabilities, chronic mental illness, and/or traumatic brain injuries in a residential setting. This role requires staff to remain awake and attentive throughout the shift to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the individuals served.
Responsibilities
Remain awake and alert for the entire overnight shift
Monitor the home to ensure a safe and secure environment
Provide support with overnight needs, including personal care as needed
Administer medications according to established procedures
Complete routine safety checks and documentation
Respond appropriately to behavioral or medical situations
Assist with light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and preparation for the next day
Accurately document all required information during the shift
Follow all care plans, policies, and state regulations
Communicate important updates to the incoming team
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Ability to pass a Minnesota DHS background study and pre-employment drug screening
Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation accurately
Ability to follow state and company policies, including 245D requirements
Ability to stay awake, alert, and responsive throughout overnight hours
Schedule Requirements
Part-time position
Awake overnight (NOC) shifts (example: 9:00 p.m. – 9:00 a.m. or similar)
Must be available to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
Reliable attendance and punctuality required
Preferred Skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Calm and effective response in unexpected situations
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Dependable and adaptable
