
Medical Staff Coordinator - Med Staff Admin

Description
Under general supervision, the Medical Staff Coordinator proactively initiates and coordinates medical staff activities. Provides and demonstrates ongoing expertise in Joint Commission, CMA, State, Federal and other regulatory requirements affecting the medical staff organization. Processes initial applications, reappointments, verification of all pertinent and required information and follow‑up. Assures peer review findings are available for review at the time of reappointment. Maintains the medical staff proctoring system in an accurate and timely manner. Initiates and maintains timely documentation of ongoing professional practice evaluation and focused professional practice evaluation (OPPE/FPPE) review. Coordinates CME program. Supports the medical staff committees by preparing agendas, attending meetings, providing accurate and timely minutes, initiating and/or conducting appropriate follow‑up actions. Assists and advises customers as necessary and appropriate regarding medical staff issues. Maintains a high level of integrity and confidentiality at all times.
Required Qualifications
3 years of Medical Staff or Administrative Services (may combine years in an accredited Medical Staff Services Science Program).
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework/Training: Two years of college, preferably in medical staff or medical records science.
Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification from National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) upon hire.
Posted salary range: $27.92 - $42.73. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
