
Shipping and Receiving Associate

Job Summary
Location: Lenexa, KS
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
What You'll Do
Coordinate shipping and receiving operations while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Organize orders, material pulls, and workflows to ensure efficient processing.
Safely operate forklifts, side loaders, and cranes to load/unload LTL and flatbed shipments.
Process inbound materials including purchase orders, returns, interbranch transfers, and damaged freight.
Maintain accurate inventory records and manage backorders and material releases.
Communicate with customers, sales, and logistics teams to resolve order inquiries.
Handle shipping documentation and arrange carrier pickups using UPS WorldShip and FedEx systems.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO standards, and lockout/tagout procedures.
Perform routine equipment checks and maintain warehouse organization using 5S principles.
What You'll Need
High school diploma or equivalent.
1 year of shipping and receiving experience.
Forklift certification required; crane or side loader experience preferred.
Experience with RF scanners and warehouse systems.
Familiarity with UPS WorldShip, FedEx shipping programs, and inventory processes.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Lift and move 10-50 lbs regularly.
Stand and walk for 6-8 hours per shift.
Work in varying warehouse temperatures and environments.
