Overview
Saucon Valley School District is seeking a full-time Accountant. This is a 12-month position with salary and benefits per the current Administrators & Supervisors Compensation & Benefits Plan. The position reports to the Business Manager. The Accountant supports financial reporting and budgeting processes to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and experienced in accounting and financial systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 5 years of financial experience
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and accounting software
Strong organizational and communication skills
Required clearances
Responsibilities
Maintaining and adjusting accounts and preparing budget reports
Supporting budget development, contract analysis, and reporting (GASB)
Monitoring employee salary and benefits data
Reviewing purchase orders and overseeing inventory processes
Assisting with bidding and purchasing procedures
Providing backup support for payroll, accounts payable, and other business office functions
