About You
We are looking for a

Human Resources Specialist

who supports the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources department by managing employee data, ensuring compliance, and coordinating key administrative processes across the employee lifecycle. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple systems and deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive pay ranging from $33 - $37/hour. A full benefits package includes Health, Dental, Vision, Disability Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement Savings Plan, ESOP, FSA, LegalShield, PTO and Holiday pay.

Essential Functions

Maintain accurate employee records, including HRIS data entry, personnel files, and audit tracking.

Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, system updates, and employee communications.

Generate and manage offer letters, background checks, drug testing, and onboarding compliance requirements.

Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate employee changes, benefits elections, and weekly payroll processing.

Administer time‑off tracking, holiday calendars, and internal HR communications.

Support benefits and compliance administration, including ACA tracking, I‑9 verification, EEO reporting, and unemployment and workers' compensation claims.

Prepare and submit required compliance documentation such as affirmative action plans, workforce reports, and equal pay certifications.

Manage internal systems and tools, including intranet updates and employee certification tracking.

Coordinate union‑related communications, maintain pay rate documentation, and support apprentice benefit programs.

Monitor shared HR inboxes and assist with general administrative tasks, including invoice processing and insurance updates.

Maintain up-to-date procedures and documentation for HR processes and responsibilities.

Qualifications

Experience in HR administration or operations preferred.

Proficient in MS Office.

Familiarity with HRIS systems and payroll processes.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
