We’re looking for a part-time bi‑vocational pastor with expectation of growing and soon needing a full‑time pastor. Our current pastor is retiring after fourteen years of service.
Position Qualifications:
IMMEDIATE POSITION AVAILABLE FOR BIO‑VOCATIONAL PASTOR-
Immediate Opening for a Bio‑vocational Pastor
Mount Moriah Baptist Church (MMBC) is a rural church, small congregation located in the Durham‑Chapel Hill, NC area.
Interested candidates should agree with the Baptist faith and meet the biblical requirements for a pastor (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4) led by the Holy Spirit. He must maintain a healthy personal walk with God through practicing spiritual disciplines and have experience in pastoral leadership. He must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a life that reflects biblical character. He must agree with our church’s statement of faith and should have experience in preaching, teaching, and discernment. He should have strong communication skills and the ability to connect with people across generations and a humble, servant‑leader mindset with a collaborative spirit. We have a small congregation that appreciates expository preaching. We desire a pastor that has the ability to balance ministry responsibilities with another vocation.
