Job Description
North Reading High School is seeking a Math Teacher to serve as a long-term substitute from tentative now through June 24, 2026 (end of the 2025-2026 school year). North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential.
Essential duties
Unit/lesson planning
Direct instruction of students
Assessment of student learning
Be available to conference with parents and families as needed or requested
Work closely with our team of teachers in the Math Department to ensure pacing and learning expectations are maintained
Other duties as requested by the Building Principal, Coordinator of STEM Education, and/or Designee
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in Mathematics, grades 8-12
Strong interpersonal skills
Collaborative working demeanor
Excellent oral and written communication skills
At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
