We are looking for lifelong learners passionate about shaping students’ hearts and minds. Join Great Hearts Academies, a growing network of 47 public, open‑enrollment, tuition‑free classical schools in Phoenix (AZ), Baton Rouge (LA), Dallas/Ft. Worth (TX), and San Antonio (TX). Great Hearts currently serves over 30,000 K‑12 students with a high‑quality classical liberal arts education that emphasizes intellectual and moral growth.
Latin is a core part of the curriculum at all Great Hearts academies. Students study Latin from 6th through 8th grade, and many academies offer advanced Latin and Ancient Greek for high‑school students. Rigorous, detailed Latin lessons help students translate texts from the original Latin to English through Socratic discussion, building a foundation for the Western tradition.
Responsibilities
Teach Latin to students in the core curriculum, including lesson planning, instruction, assessment, and student support. Encourage critical thinking and Socratic dialogue in the classroom. Participate in professional development and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the classical education experience.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) required for a lead teaching role.
Certification is not required for general education teaching.
All majors are welcome.
U.S. work authorization required; OPT/CPT candidates may be considered.
