HVAC & Utility Systems Maintenance
Location: Onsite – Kohler, WI
Compensation: $33.77 per hour, plus a $1.50 shift premium
Shift: 3 days on, 4 days off
Hours: 6:12 PM – 6:24 AM
Opportunity
We are looking for an HVAC & Utility Systems Maintenance technician to join our manufacturing team. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant utility equipment and HVAC systems to ensure safe, efficient operation.
Your Responsibilities
Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair plant utility systems.
Perform all operations in accordance with specified guidelines and exercise safety for oneself and others.
Maintain all major utility equipment including boilers, air compressors/dryers, chillers, fans, pumps, wells, cooling towers, and fire suppression equipment, and maintain distribution systems for steam, condensate, compressed air, chilled water, cooling towers, water chemistry/purification, potable water, process wastewater, natural gas, propane, and fire systems.
Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems including air handlers, rooftop units, and make-up air units with associated controls.
Operate, inspect, and maintain all fire protection systems, including but not limited to sprinkler systems, fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, fire hoses, hydrants, and other firefighting equipment, and respond to fire alarms.
Apply lubricants, packing/seals, bearings, couplings, gear reducers, measurement equipment, fasteners, and rigging as needed.
Interpret and understand mechanical and electrical prints and P&ID diagrams.
Use a wide variety of equipment and tools proficiently.
Use computerized maintenance management software to create work notifications, look up and order parts, print work orders, and enter time confirmations.
Maintain technical competence through frequent training courses, on-the-job training, and vendor schools.

Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC Systems) Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or Electro-Mechanical degree, or enrollment in an accredited program toward the degree.
Valid Universal Refrigerant Handling Certificate within 18 months, and active participation in the Kohler Company Fire Brigade, responding to plant fires.
Additional Requirements
Physical capability to perform essential duties, including bending, lifting, and pushing weight, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
Reliable attendance and consistent work performance.
Compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
