Support Worker
Location: Bristol
Hours: Full-time
Pay: £14.16 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
We are working with a well-established not-for-profit organisation in Bristol that is committed to making a real difference within the community. This is a hands‑on role supporting vulnerable individuals in a fast‑paced, supportive environment. The position will start on a temporary basis, with a
permanent opportunity available for the right candidate .
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting people to move forward with their lives while working as part of a positive, inclusive, and resilient team.
Key Responsibilities
Support individuals to achieve long-term goals using a person-centred approach
Help clients overcome barriers related to homelessness and progress towards independent living
Provide tailored support to help maintain recovery from homelessness
Work a 9-week rota covering early and late shifts, including three weekends per cycle
Maintain accurate records and client documentation
Work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies
Manage priorities effectively in a busy environment
Skills & Experience
Understanding of the needs of homeless and vulnerable individuals
Experience working in a psychologically informed way
Confident decision-maker with the ability to take initiative
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable using IT systems, including Microsoft Office
Resilient, adaptable, and solution-focused
Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
