Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator at our surface operations in Marshall, MO. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture

Inspect equipment for signs of wear

Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment

Work in a team environment

Clean work areas

Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions

Proper wear of personal protective equipment

Notify supervisors of repairs needed

Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements

Assist in plant maintenance and repairs

Perform duties with minimum supervision

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience

High school diploma, GED or equivalent

1+ years of related experience

Valid US driver’s license

Skills

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Knowledge of MSHA regulations

Effective verbal communication

Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance

Physical Abilities

Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round

General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling material
