
Maintenance Technician - Statesville, NC

We are seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Technician to join our team at Deer View Crossing in Statesville, NC, as we continue to grow our portfolio across the Carolinas!
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, grounds keeping and other interior and exterior maintenance tasks for the community under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
Essential Responsibilities
Perform routine interior and exterior maintenance as scheduled and requested; may include painting, replacing filters, general grounds maintenance, ensure common areas and amenity spaces are clean and tidy, etc.
Perform routine maintenance and repair on community equipment including, but not limited to, plumbing, light bulb replacement, A/C maintenance, electrical, carpentry and mechanical and appliance repair.
Respond to all repair requests and maintenance concerns from residents and staff; ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner.
Maintain resident privacy and deliver exceptional customer service when entering resident apartments.
Work with vendors as instructed (landscaping, painting, contractors, pest control, asphalt, etc)
Must follow all safety/OSHA requirements, obtain and maintain appropriate certifications as needed.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
High School Diploma or G.E.D certificate and two years maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
CPO and CFC Certifications Strongly Preferred (or able to obtain in reasonable timeframe)
Available to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekdays and weekends
Must be able to provide after hour on call service on a rotating schedule
Must have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation
1-3 years previous maintenance experience desired preferably in a multi-family environment
Language and Communication Skills
Ability to read and understand operation and instruction manuals, maintenance instructions and procedures manuals. Ability to complete, read and understand work order forms. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions one-on-one from management and residents.
