Material Handler
Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies, which may require lifting of heavy objects. Activities are procedural and well-defined, requiring limited decision-making.
Essential job functions
Assists in Inventory Control.
Distribute or deliver items to appropriate departments.
Utilizes computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Knowledge of record keeping practices and basic arithmetic.
Knowledge of safety practices.
Skill in operating automotive, materials handling and office equipment.
Skill in lifting heavy packages and objects.
Skill in following both verbal and written instructions.
Performance Standards
Material delivered timely to production departments.
Inventory part & pieces accurate control.
The ability to communicate effectively with and work with other personnel.
