Salary: £95‑£110 per day

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a well‑established and high‑achieving secondary school in Newcastle to recruit a passionate and dedicated Cover Supervisor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive department, where you will play a key role in inspiring students and raising attainment in core science subjects.

Graduate Cover Supervisor
ASAP 2026
Hold/predicted degree with a 2:2 or above
Full‑time role, Monday‑Friday. Part‑time also acceptable
£450‑£500 per week pro rata – term‑time only
Chance to gain invaluable classroom experience before teacher training
Qualifications

Strong understanding of concepts and curriculum content.
Experience working with children or in an educational setting desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, enthusiasm, and ability to engage and motivate students.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for education and helping students succeed.
Key Responsibilities

Support classroom activities and assist in delivering lessons to students of various age groups and abilities.
Provide one‑on‑one or small group tuition to students who need additional help, either inside or outside of class time.
Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
Help monitor and assess students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Support students with homework and assignments.
Assist with administrative duties related to student progress tracking and classroom organisation.
