Overview
This summary highlights the purpose and importance of the Aircraft Fueler position.
Role Purpose
The aircraft Fueler is responsible for the safe and efficient fueling/defueling and servicing of aircraft at the airport. Duties include performing simple mathematical calculations related to weight, measurement, and volume to interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions.
The role requires maintaining a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
Pay
$20.50
What you will be doing
Perform fueling safely and efficiently, operating fuel trucks, hydrant cards, and stationary carts to fuel aircraft. Responsible for accurate accounting of fuel transactions.
Perform daily quality control checks on equipment and maintain equipment in a clean and functional condition.
Ensure correct loading and balancing of fuel.
Defuel aircraft as directed.
Adhere to safety, security, wellbeing, and compliance policies, including substance misuse and testing protocols.
What we are looking for
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, and ability to perform basic math calculations.
Physical capability to lift and move up to 70 lbs.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Availability and flexibility for variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Prior experience preferred; possession of a Commercial Driver’s License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry is a plus.
Must pass pre‑employment medical and drug testing.
Valid driver’s license in good standing (Class A with hazmat and tanker endorsement required for Cargo Fuelers).
Must pass driver’s test with the Department of Airports and obtain a license to drive on the Airport Operational Area (AOA).
Must pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs seal.
Prior ramp experience preferable.
Minimum age 18 years.
Education
High School or better.
Experience
Prior experience preferred; possession of a Commercial Driver’s License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
