About the Role
Revenue Integrity Educator II – Revenue Cycle (940791) – provides coding education, audits, and compliance support within the Revenue Cycle Front End team.

Responsibilities

Develop and conduct individual or group presentations on coding, billing and compliance topics.

Conduct standardized new provider coding and compliance training ("onboarding") for physicians and other professional practitioners.

Perform post‑onboarding pre‑bill review of professional charges and follow‑up with new providers to confirm understanding of coding requirements.

Conduct independent reviews of adequacy of medical record documentation to support procedure, modifier and diagnosis coding.

Research coding, documentation and reimbursement policy questions or problems submitted by providers and staff.

Coordinate with Compliance Office to support and conduct Billing Compliance risk‑based audits.

Complete charge review and follow‑up EPIC work queue assignments under guidance of Senior Billing Integrity Educator.

Assist with training for contractor staff on audit software, EPIC and internal audit plan.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a professional billing environment with emphasis on coding, auditing and compliance responsibilities.

Strong surgical coding experience in specialties such as Ophthalmology, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, Spine, Urology, and/or Plastic Surgery.

Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required; CPMA or CCS preferred.

Experience educating providers regarding proper coding practices.

Experience completing provider audits across surgical specialties and communicating with Revenue Cycle teams.

Experience developing educational material.

Strong communication, initiative‑taking and technology savvy.

Epic experience strongly preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or two years of college preferred.

Shift Requirement
8‑hour flex shift, Monday through Friday.

Work From Home Availability
This is a WFH position located in Texas. Preferred candidates are in the DFW area; out‑of‑state candidates will not be considered.
