Position Summary
Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida – Lee Health is seeking a full‑time, board certified/eligible Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist Hospitalist within the Department of Pediatric Hematology Oncology. The role involves inpatient services on a 7‑on/7‑off schedule with daily rounding during service. Average inpatient census is 8‑10 patients.
Responsibilities
Provide inpatient hematology/oncology care for patients on the 13‑bed unit.
Participate in rounds and collaborate with nurses, social workers, child life specialists, psychologists, and research coordinators.
Manage inpatient chemotherapy, infusion care, and supportive therapies.
Coordinate care with outpatient clinics, infusion center, and procedure facilities.
Maintain documentation in EPIC EMR and contribute to medical informatics updates for BEACON.
Qualifications
Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
Experience caring for oncology and sickle cell patients.
Strong clinical skills in inpatient oncology management.
Ability to work a 7‑on/7‑off shift schedule.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
