
Pharmacy Technician L1, Dispensing (2nd Shift)

Position Summary
As a pharmacy technician you will be responsible for many aspects of the mail order prescription process. You may be assigned to work in all areas of the dispensing pharmacy including product selection, packing and shipping. Tech L1, dispensing team members are expected to perform the following functions: manual filling and packing, filling medications for automated machines, quality sampling of medications from automated machines, packing orders using automated packing machinery, and supporting the shipping handler functions such as manually metering packages and placing packages to be sorted for shipment.

Required Qualifications
Verifiable high school diploma or GED
Illinois Pharmacy Technician License (IDFPR)
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through PTCB or ExCPT through NHA (required for all those licensed after 2008)
Newly licensed technicians have 2 years from license effective date to obtain their certification.
Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to reach, twist, turn, bend, stoop, walk and lift up to 40 pounds.
Detail focused and task oriented.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Work mandatory overtime when needed based on business needs.
Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Formal Pharmacy Technician training or Pharmacy Tech experience
Experience working in a Mail Order Pharmacy
Certified Pharmacy Technician prior to 2024
Education
Verifiable high school diploma or GED required.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $31.30 per hour. This represents the base hourly rate for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
