Overview

Our client is actively seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team out of the Greater Pittsburgh region. This role involves traveling throughout the PA/OH/WV areas, performing rig moves, new set ups, rig release and infield repairs and services. The ideal candidate will have a background in basic construction or skilled trades (e.g., carpentry) and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Day-to-day activities include running electronic software and performing handyman tasks with safety as a top priority. This is a full-time, long-term contract role with a well-known electrical cooperative offering competitive pay, benefits, and more.

Position Summary

The Field Service Technician is an integral member of the team. The role is results driven, customer service oriented, and responsible for assisting clients with rig moves, new set ups, rig release and infield repairs and service.

Communicate with Lead Service Tech/Field Service Supervisor on a regular basis
Communicate with clients to ensure customer satisfaction
Ensure all tickets are signed prior to leaving location
Maintain safe, efficient and quality service while on client locations
Promote quality assurance to clients
Additional responsibilities: as identified and assigned
Travel

The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required
Field Service Tech Levels

Field Service Tech Level I: Handyman skills, rough-in, stud work
Field Service Tech Level II: Carpentry apprentices 3+ years
Field Service Tech Level III: Carpentry finishing experience 5+ years
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Willingness and ability to properly wear and utilize all Personal Protective Equipment as required
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Active listener; responds in professional manner
Able to work in extreme weather conditions
Ability to be on call
Able to work nights and weekends if needed
Able and willing to travel out of town as needed
Able to run electronic software, including but not limited to smartphones, computers, metering devices, etc
General handyman skills desired but not required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to lift 50-75 lbs on a regular basis
Strong customer service skills
Self-Motivator, ability to motivate others
Clean driving record
Strong commitment to safety
