Job Description
The Teacher Instructional Literacy Coach will support high school teachers in strengthening literacy instruction, improving student achievement, and implementing rigorous, standards aligned teaching practices.
Responsibilities Include:
Provide coaching and support to Language Arts teachers through modeling, co-teaching, classroom support and feedback
Support implementation of district English Language Arts curriculum aligned to state standards
Assist teachers with reading comprehension, writing instruction, vocabulary, and literacy strategies
Analyze student assessment data to guide instructional improvement
Facilitate professional development, PLCs, common planning and data meetings
Support tutoring, intervention, acceleration, and graduation readiness programs
Assist teachers with pacing, lesson planning, and differentiation strategies
Promote student engagement and achievement in literacy
