Ardent Mills is the leading flour milling and ingredients company in North America. We’re seeking passionate individuals to join our Elevator Department on the 2nd shift.
Shift & Availability
ELEVATOR IV – 2nd shift. Must be open to work all shifts. Due to production needs, this position may require availability 7 days a week on rotating shifts to cover illnesses and vacations.
Qualifications & Responsibilities
Knowledgeable in all operations associated with the Elevator, including unloading of wheat railcars, barges, and trucks, and able to process related paperwork.
Capable of performing all jobs within the Elevator Department.
Assists in opening, closing, and setting up barges.
Skilled in sample collection and proper testing of products for quality control programs and specifications related to wheat blends and transfers.
Uses the FOSS to run moisture and protein tests, and to run test weights on incoming wheat and blend mill mix as determined by management.
Performs minor maintenance and critical inspections on equipment related to the Elevator Department.
Performs greasing, clears objects from spouts, operates cleaner/scalper, and maintains equipment.
Backs up Elevator III (Elevator Operator) and Elevator II (Marine Leg Operator) and adequately performs sanitation and housekeeping duties.
Performs other duties as reasonably required by a supervisor.
Physical Requirements
Frequently stand, walk, rotate, bend/stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, balance, and reach or lift at shoulder level, above shoulder level, and below shoulder level.
Frequently climb stairs and/or ladders.
Occasionally lift, shovel, or carry up to 55 pounds.
Occasionally push up to 200 pounds of force.
Occasionally pull or torque up to 210 pounds of force.
