Direct Care Worker Trainer – UCPSA
Full‑Time | Non Exempt | Starting at $49,000 (based on certifications and curricula taught)

We’re seeking an engaging and organized Direct Care Worker Trainer to deliver AHCCCS‑approved curriculum and ensure compliance with state training requirements. This role combines classroom instruction, hands‑on skills training, and coordination to prepare a strong, confident caregiving workforce.

What You’ll Do

Teach AHCCCS Direct Care Worker curriculum, including: Article 9, First Aid/CPR, Habilitation, and Abuse/Neglect/Exploitation

Train UCPSA staff and partner agency employees

Ensure completion of new hire training and ongoing staff recertifications

Maintain accurate training records, rosters, and AHCCCS database entries

Track training deadlines and schedule required classes

Maintain training equipment and ensure audit readiness

What You Bring

Experience in caregiving or a related social services field (1+ year preferred)

Strong communication skills and ability to engage adult learners

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Team‑oriented with flexibility in scheduling, including occasional evenings or weekends

Current First Aid/CPR Instructor certification preferred (candidates with certifications may qualify for higher starting pay)

Ability to complete AHCCCS‑required training (provided)

Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance and pass a DES background check

Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred

Ability to travel between Tucson and Green Valley locations as needed
