
Rates Trading Product Controller - Associate

Job Overview
We're seeking someone to join our New York Rates Trading team as a Product Controller in ISG Finance to oversee daily P&L reporting, manage month-end close processes, support regulatory reporting, and contribute to strategic projects. This Associate position within our Product Controllers Job Family focuses on ensuring adequacy of controls, profit and loss, balance sheet reporting, reconciliations and management reporting across business segments.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment
Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; proactively identify ways to reduce risk in work
Act as a culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
Oversee daily P&L reporting and control requirements
Manage month-end general ledger close process and disclosure reporting
Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly management and regulatory reporting initiatives
Present financial data and partner with business unit stakeholders
Enhance processes related to financial and regulatory reporting
Support strategic projects and proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
Qualifications
Working knowledge of Finance functional area, industry and competitive environment
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and adapt to various audiences
Willingness to seek guidance and provide feedback to further develop self and peers ability to collaborate effectively with team members and colleagues across the organization
Ability to analyze data and think strategically
Strong skills in planning, organization, and prioritization, with the capability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders in a dynamic environment
Proficiency in written and verbal communication and in MS Office, with strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
Benefits
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Base pay, if hired, will be determined on an individualized basis and may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley-sponsored benefit programs.
