Job Summary
The CAS Senior supports Client Accounting Services (CAS) engagements by overseeing day-to-day accounting activities for assigned clients, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and supporting month-end close processes. This role applies advanced accounting knowledge, provides guidance to junior team members, and serves as a key point of contact for client accounting needs.
Essential Functions
Manage and perform month-end close activities for assigned client accounts
Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
Review bookkeeping work completed by Accounting Associates for accuracy
Assist with payroll processing, reconciliations, and cash flow tracking
Communicate with clients regarding accounting questions, deliverables, and timelines
Support process improvements and accounting best practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Public accounting or outsourced accounting experience
Experience supporting multiple clients concurrently
CPA or progress toward CPA licensure
Physical & Cognitive Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
Ability to analyze financial data, exercise professional judgment, and manage multiple priorities
Work Environment Including Travel
Office, hybrid, or remote work environment
Limited travel, if any
Moderate noise level typical of a professional office environment
