Travel assignment in an acute care rehabilitation setting
EMR systems used: Net Health Therapy and Meditech
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Responsibilities
Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation within the acute care pathway; plan and implement therapeutic OT programs as prescribed by the ordering physician.
Regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs; independently manage a full caseload and monitor progress.
Conduct re-evaluations based on insurance authorization and clinical change; document outcomes and adjust interventions accordingly.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Net Health Therapy and Meditech EMR; coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient discharge planning.
Contribute to holiday coverage as required and participate in unit rounds and team huddles to align goals across care teams.
Requirements
Hawaii license: Active Occupational Therapist license required by start of assignment.
BLS: American Red Cross Basic Life Support certification required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years’ work experience with adult populations in outpatient and acute rehab settings.
EMR proficiency: Experience with Net Health Therapy and Meditech or demonstrated ability to learn these systems.
Availability: Ability to work Hawaii state and federal holidays as necessary based on hospital operations.
Administrative: Arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health requirements.
