American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for an inpatient rehab and acute care setting in Hilo, Hawaii, requiring an active Hawaii state license by the start of the assignment.
Details
Inpatient rehabilitation and acute rehab setting within a hospital
Coverage across both Inpatient and Outpatient Rehab departments
Patient population consists of adults in outpatient and acute care settings
Day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
EMR systems used include Net Health Therapy and Meditech
26-week contract
Requirements
Active Occupational Therapist license; Hawaii state license required by start of assignment (license required if applicable)
Minimum 2 years of experience working with adult patients in outpatient and acute care settings
BLS certification from the American Red Cross required
Responsibilities
Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Plan and implement ongoing OT treatment programs as prescribed by the ordering physician, including regularly updating treatment plans and home exercise programs.
Independently manage a full caseload and determine when re-evaluations are appropriate based on insurance authorization.
Holiday coverage may be required based on hospital operations for Hawaii State and Federal Holidays.
All travelers must report to Employee Health 48‑72 hours prior to the start of the assignment; this appointment takes place at the facility's Employee Health department and must be attended in person – plan to arrive in Hawaii by the Thursday before a Monday start date to attend Friday morning.
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
