Job Duties
Typical schedule: 40 hours weekly, 9:30 am to 6 pm
At least 1 year of RN work experience is required.
Critical care RN experience is preferred.

Position Details
Responsible for all aspects of Radiology nursing, including assessment, evaluation, coordination of nursing care, patient and family teaching, triage, and primary clinical support to providers and patients. Ensures completion, accuracy, and filing of diagnostic testing in the electronic medical record for continuity of care.
Provides nursing care in Radiology relating to patient care, imaging, and interventional procedures.
Administers medications and treatments according to policy and procedure.
Assesses patient responses to medications and testing per protocols and documents information in the medical record.
Ensures all necessary paperwork and information are present for procedures.
Prepares patients for procedures, including reviewing history and medication list.
Assesses patients’ physical status and understanding of the procedure.
Provides patient and family education.
Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and revises care based on patient response.
Provides basic life support and advanced cardiac life support.
Performs emergency procedures when necessary; transports equipment to patient’s bedside as required.
Starts and regulates oxygen.
Assists with patient transport as required.
Assists with therapies, including assessing vitals and administering medications.
Assists with orientation of personnel and students.
Assesses lab results prior to procedures.
Assists throughout the radiology department with nursing needs.
Education
Graduate from Specialty Training Program‑Nursing (Required)
Experience
Minimum of 1 year of Nursing (Required)
Certification(s) and License(s)
Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) – RN_State of Pennsylvania; Basic Life Support Certification – Default Issuing Body
