Position Title
Sterile Processing Technician - Bayside
Description
As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will process all surgical equipment needed for production processing in accordance with LifeNet Health’s Quality Systems, Corporate Compliance programs, and department safety policies and procedures.
Location & Schedule
Location: Virginia Beach, VA (Bayside)
Department: Production & Logistics
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday (1:45PM-10:30PM)
Clinical Status: Clinical
Important: You will be required to sit, stand, bend, walk and lift up to 50 lbs for the duration of the shift, and wear personal protective equipment including surgical gowns, masks, visors or goggles and caps.
Responsibilities
Accurately inspect, prepare, and package all instrumentation and equipment for sterilization.
Decontaminate all instrumentation and equipment effectively, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Stock case carts to ensure all items are accounted for and available for processing and/or other departments as assigned. Process and complete associated case cart documentation.
Sterilize all equipment ensuring the appropriate sterilization method is used and respective SOP followed. Operate steam and EO sterilizers and accurately complete associated documentation.
Participate in department continuous improvement initiatives, as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or GED.
Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
No prior work experience required.
Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications:
CRCST Certification or equivalent preferred.
One year of work experience in a sterile processing environment or inspection role.

Ability to convey information verbally and in writing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
Ability to prioritize multiple, competing priorities and manage time/workload.

Compensation
Salary Range: $18.00 per hour. Final compensation will be based on factors such as geographic location, qualifications, and prior relevant experience.
