Entry and Mid-Level Landscape Architect/ Designer
Gruen Associates, an award-winning Los Angeles architectural, landscape architectural, and planning firm, is seeking local Entry-level Landscape Designer and Mid-level landscape architect/designer with abilities to design and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team. Urban planners with an interest in landscape architecture are encouraged to apply.
Our landscape and planning design studio is a close-knit group of professionals dedicated to working together on a large variety of projects. We are passionate about urban design, which significantly impacts our quality of life. The ideal candidate should draw from all experiences and have the flexibility to design at different scales and related environments. We highly value knowledge of design theory, attention to detail, and strong visual, graphic, and writing abilities. The responsibilities for this role could include field investigation, research, analysis, planning, sustainable design, graphics production, construction drawings, and public engagement.
Our Urban Design, Planning and Landscape Department offers urban/streetscape design, planning, landscape architecture, and transportation services to public and private clients at the local, regional, state, and national levels.
Key Aspects of Position
Design Process from Concept to Construction Documentation and Construction Administration
Assist in writing project narratives and design reports
Generate high-quality project graphics
Engage with clients with well-articulated presentations and meetings
In-person availability required
Required Skills and Experience
Entry to Mid-level
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Revit, Rhino, Lumion and/or other rendering programs are desired
Writing and communication skills
Landscape Architecture license is a plus
Education
Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture or Urban Planning is required.
Salary
$70,000-$100,000 Annually commensurate with experience
