Certified Sterile Processing Technician PRN
TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician (PRN) to support surgical teams by ensuring instruments and supplies are clean, safely prepared, and ready for use. This role is essential for patient safety and infection prevention.
Job Summary
As a Certified Sterile Processing Technician, you will:
Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays.
Maintain sterilization equipment and record keeping to support infection prevention.
Prepare customized surgical sets and case carts based on daily schedules.
Manage inventory and supplies in OR storage and specialty lockers.
Respond promptly to instrument requests during surgeries and resolve urgent equipment needs.
Qualifications
High School Graduate or GED.
Certification as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST); must be obtained within one year of employment start date.
Experience with sterilization equipment and OR supply management.
