Description
The Sterile Processing Educator will be responsible for developing and delivering education programs, training sterile processing staff, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires hands‑on experience as a sterile processing technician, a deep understanding of sterilization techniques and infection control practices, and the ability to effectively communicate and educate others.
Required qualifications
National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire.
National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire.
National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 1 year of hire.
National Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire.
5 years hands‑on sterile processing/instrument tracking experience.
3 years related experience in the health care field and/or education experience with groups and individuals.
Preferred qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or related field.
Master's Degree in Healthcare or related field.
Certified Healthcare Leader - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire.
Management in Sterile Processing - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire.
Certified Endoscope Reprocessor - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire.
Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire.
6 years education, or 6 years of sterile processing educator/leadership experience.
