Certified Dietary Manager
Job Summary
Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a compassionate and patient‑centered care provider, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Dietary Manager to join our team in East Moline, Illinois. As a key member of our dietary department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well‑being of our residents by planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals and snacks.
Responsibilities
Food Service Management
– Plan, coordinate, and execute high‑quality food services, including menu planning, food preparation, and plating.
Regulatory Compliance
– Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Hope Creek's policies and procedures.
Supervision
– Lead and supervise a team of dietary staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
Inventory Management
– Manage food, supply, and equipment inventories, minimizing waste and optimizing resource allocation.
Budgeting
– Assist in budget planning and management, ensuring fiscal responsibility and resource allocation.
Quality Assurance
– Implement quality control measures, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation of food and dining areas.
Communication
– Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and residents to ensure individualized nutritional needs are met.
Requirements
Certification
– Must be a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or a Certified Food Manager (CFM).
Experience
– 0–2 years of experience in dietary management or a related field.
Education
– High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field preferred.
Physical Demands
– Ability to lift 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, and frequent walking.
