Job Summary
The Legal Office of the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) is seeking a Legal Assistant (Administrative Staff) to support Legal Counsel with a variety of transactions and documentation related to affordable housing activities. The assistant will work in OHFA’s Columbus office at 2600 Corporate Exchange Drive.
Responsibilities
Provide support duties for Legal Counsel at OHFA.
Assist in preparing legal documents such as loan agreements and contracts.
Gather information necessary for drafting loan documents and contracts.
Assist with real‑estate closings for the agency.
Perform routine support duties such as screening telephone calls, opening and processing mail, and maintaining the filing system.
Qualifications
Preferred: Experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or program administrator.
Preferred: Education as a paralegal or attended law school.
Technical and professional skills: attention to detail, confidentiality, time management, organizing and planning, results‑oriented, and knowledge of real‑estate, housing, and legal terminology.
