About The Position
Full Time, Part Time, or PRN RPSGT needed for our Fishkill, NY location.
Up to a $15k sign on bonus! for FT hires only.
MedBridge Healthcare is seeking an experienced RPSGT (Technologist) or RT/CRT, to work 3-4 nights per week from 8pm‑6am. Competitive hourly rates available depending on experience, with a 2:1 ratio.
MedBridge is a leading provider of sleep laboratory management services and sleep therapy. MedBridge partners with hospitals and physician practices to offer comprehensive fully‑integrated services for patient identification, testing, diagnosis, treatment and long‑term care management of patients with sleep disorders.
Responsibilities
Gather and analyze patient information.
Collect, analyze and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient‑specific needs (physical/mental limitations, current emotional/physiological status regarding the testing procedure, pertinent medical/social history) and determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician or clinical director and laboratory protocols.
Complete and verify documentation.
Explain pre‑testing, testing, and post‑testing procedures to the patient.
Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and make adjustments if necessary.
Verify patient video recording(s) are operating properly per laboratory standard protocol.
Perform appropriate physiological calibrations to ensure proper signals and make adjustments if necessary; perform positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting.
Follow procedural protocols such as Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), parasomnia studies, PAP, oxygen titration, etc. to ensure collection of appropriate data.
Perform polysomnographic data acquisition while monitoring study‑tracing quality to ensure signals are artifact‑free and make adjustments if necessary.
Job Requirements
High school diploma required.
Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program required.
RPSGT and/or CRT/RT license(s) preferred.
Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
Current BCLS certification required.
Proof of immunizations required.
Pay range: $40 and up DOE.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee is required to use hands to operate office equipment.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
