About The Role
The Mortgage Loan Processor III position requires outstanding customer service and communication skills. Mortgage loan processors must have strong math aptitude, excellent time management, organizational capabilities, and attention to detail. The role involves processing and preparing retail mortgage loans—including conventional, government, construction, purchase, refinance, and portfolio ARMs—under various loan programs in alignment with company policies and procedures.
This is a corporate position that may be located in an available bank division across our nine‑state footprint (AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, TX, UT, WA, or WY).
Entry rate is $24.99+ per hour (calculated for Kalispell, MT). WA applicants in Wenatchee range from $28.30 to $42.44 per hour; WA applicants in Spokane range from $27.91 to $41.86 per hour.
Responsibilities
Process mortgage loan applications, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures within required timeframes; confirm complete applications, verify loan data accuracy, perform preliminary income analysis, and confirm all documents and signatures are in order before submission to underwriting.
Conduct follow‑up on third‑party service orders, generate re‑disclosures and change‑in‑circumstance statements, satisfy underwriting conditions, and ensure files are complete for loan closing. Coordinate loan closings and deliver documents to title/escrow companies.
Act as liaison among originators, underwriters, and closers/funders to ensure timely closing, accurate document completion, proper signatures, and coordination of the closing process.
Mitigate processing‑related post‑closing deficiencies.
Comply with all company policies, applicable laws and regulations—including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control—and complete assigned online training courses with a passing score by the due date.
Qualifications
Education : High School Diploma or GED (required).
Experience :
5 years of mortgage fulfillment experience (required).
4 years of mortgage processing experience (required).
Expert experience with Encompass, HFA, construction procedures, and ability to learn additional computer applications.
Expert ability to interpret underwriting guidelines and use sound judgment to clear conditions.
Expert knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and construction loan processing and loan policy procedures.
Advanced knowledge of reviewing tax returns to determine qualifying income.
Advanced knowledge of DUA, LP, and Loan Beam applications/results and interpretation.
