Senior Accountant
This Senior accountant will play an integral role in accurately preparing the company’s accounting records and performance with a focus on Fixed Assets. We are actively seeking a Senior Accountant with a 4 year bachelors degree and ideally 4+ year(s) experience. The position reports to an Accounting Manager who will be an awesome mentor to help groom your experience with best practices.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all things related to Fixed assets, including preparing depreciation schedules and post depreciation journal entries.
Capitalize asset acquisitions, disposals, and retirement.
Research and capitalize assets as according to GAAP asset life categories.
Month-end activities, journal entries, GL & account reconciliation and analysis.
Assist with monthly budget vs. actual variance analysis.
Posting monthly accrual journal entries, fixed assets and depreciation.
Financial reporting, preparation of supporting schedules, and data analysis.
Strong Accounting systems experience and intermediate Excel skills are desired
Strong communication and presentation skills would be necessary.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related
3+ years of relevant GL & fixed asset experience
Strong communication and presentation skills would be necessary.
