Talascend is currently seeking a
Financial Data Analyst
for a contract opportunity with our client in
Plano, Texas .
Overview
This role involves analyzing financial data, generating reports, and providing insights to support business decision-making within a retail environment. The analyst will handle reconciliation, financial reporting, and data analysis responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Analyze actual operating results and interpret data, presenting results to management
Respond to budget-related requests for financial data
Reconcile promotional claims and point-of-sale activity
Research payment reconciliation issues arising from audits, exception reports, or remittance changes
Generate reports to validate payments and resolve discrepancies and variances
Reconcile carrier commissions against in-store reporting to ensure timely and accurate payment
Handle finance and reporting duties, including financial data analytics
Deliver reporting and analytics to key business stakeholders using appropriate data to create actionable spending plans
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of related experience
Prior experience in retail operations preferred
Must have accounting experience utilizing SAP R/3 software
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Background Check and Drug Screen may be required.
