How you'll make an impact
Sales & Business Development
Prospect new farm and agribusiness clients through referrals, community involvement, and agricultural networks
Develop and grow a book of business across crop insurance and farm‑related risk‑management solutions
Meet or exceed annual production, retention, and growth goals
Maintain strong visibility and relationships within local agricultural communities
Crop Insurance Sales & Service
Advise producers on Federal Crop Insurance Program (FCIP) products, including MPCI, endorsements, and supplemental coverage options
Assist clients with coverage selection based on risk tolerance, production history, and financial goals
Accurately prepare, submit, and explain crop insurance applications, acreage reports, and production reports
Support clients through policy changes, claims processes, and loss documentation when applicable
Farm Risk Management & Account Management
Identify operational risks related to farming practices, land use, and production variability
Conduct annual risk reviews and strategy discussions with clients
Coordinate farm‑related insurance solutions when applicable (farm property, liability, equipment, etc.) in collaboration with P&C teams
Retain business through proactive communication and service excellence
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all crop insurance policies and activities comply with RMA, AIP, carrier, and agency guidelines
Maintain accurate and timely client records in agency management and crop insurance systems
Stay current on RMA updates, product changes, deadlines, and compliance requirements
Collaboration & Team Support
Work closely with internal service staff, underwriters, and carrier partners
Collaborate with farm P&C, financial services, and life insurance teams to identify cross‑sell opportunities
Support office initiatives, training efforts, and seasonal workload requirements
About You
Required:
Bachelor's degree, 1‑year related experience, and appropriate insurance licensing required OR Bachelor's degree, participation in Gallagher’s Sales Internship Program (GSIP), and appropriate insurance licensing required OR High School Diploma/GED and 6 years’ experience.
Working knowledge of agricultural operations and production practices
Strong relationship‑building and communication skills
High level of attention to detail and organizational ability
Ability to work independently and manage seasonal workload demands
Preferred:
Prior experience as a crop insurance or ag insurance producer
Knowledge of RMA rules, MPCI products, and endorsements
Established relationships within the agricultural community

The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
