Aerospace Structural Maintenance Technician

to join our team in

Panama City, FL.

This is an

onsite

position.

Responsibilities

Inspect weapon system structures for damage, corrosion, fatigue, and other issues

Conduct repairs and modifications to weapon system surfaces and structural components

Remove and install weapon system components including panels, rivets, fasteners, skins, and frameworks

Perform fabrication, repair, and modification of aircraft or similar weapon systems and ground support equipment components using advanced metalworking techniques

Perform set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other precision machine tools

Perform heat treatment processes including annealing, tempering, and case hardening

Utilize blueprints, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals to execute repair tasks

Operate tools such as shears, brakes, rivet guns, and hand tools in the fabrication and assembly of weapon system parts

Maintain detailed maintenance records and ensure compliance with technical and safety standards

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

3+ years in aircraft, LCAC or similar weapon system sheet metal structural assembly or a combination of aircraft structural assembly and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) experience

Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery related to sheet metal work and knowledge of aircraft fasteners and applications

Strong understanding of structural maintenance / metal fabrication techniques, materials, and safety standards

Experience in aircraft, LCAC or other similar weapon systems metals, composites, and repair procedures

Proficient in reading and interpreting aircraft technical data and schematics

Ability to use precision measuring tools and perform layout and fabrication work

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a DoW aircraft maintenance, LCAC or equivalent aerospace fabrication environment

Familiarity with military maintenance documentation systems

Formal technical training in aircraft structural repair (e.g., USAF 2A7X3 or equivalent)

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain an Interim Secret before starting

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.

Must be able to ascend/descend ladders and work at elevated heights.

Must be able to move, lift, and position heavy aircraft components and tools (up to 50 lbs).

Frequently works in enclosed hangars or outdoor flight line environments with exposure to weapon system noise and environmental elements.

Must be able to work in various positions and locations including in and around a Navy LCAC.
