Patient Service Representative Supervisor
American Health Imaging is actively searching for a Patient Service Representative Supervisor to join our team in Greenville, SC.
Location
AHI Greenville Downtown: 1306 S Church St, Greenville, SC 29605
Schedule
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Responsibilities
As a Patient Service Representative Supervisor, you will create and maintain a positive, welcoming environment for all patients, families, and visitors while performing the requested duties. These duties will include interviewing patients and/or families to obtain all demographic and financial information, scheduling and confirming patient appointments, verifying patient insurance, explaining financial responsibility to patient or patient representative, and collecting same‑day payments.
Additional Responsibilities
Manages the training and onboarding of new team members
Participates in the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring process
Leads regular staff meetings and associate one on one meetings
Monitors and approves timecards
Initiates and participates in staff performance evaluations and ongoing development of team members including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/or terminations when necessary
Defines job responsibilities/specialty tasks and priorities
Develops and monitors the team's performance through a QA process
Establishes employee schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate department coverage (5%)
Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements
1-4 Years Experience in Medical Office/Hospital/Healthcare Setting
Experience in Authorizations and Insurance Verification Preferred
Ability to Handle Heavy Patient Volume
Strong Customer Service and Computer Skills
Ability to multi-task
Medical Terminology Knowledge
High School Diploma or equivalent required
