CDL Driver, Class A - Home Daily

Position Overview
At our warehouse and outside yard, our CDL drivers are responsible for material pickups and deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner. CDL Drivers also work with our warehouse team to organize, rotate stock, assist in maintenance of equipment, and load and unload material.

Duties/Responsibilities

Operates a truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.

Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.

Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals.

Assists with loading and unloading of goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unloads empty skids and returns all equipment to designated area.

Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to shipping office or other appropriate staff when delivery route is complete.

Keeps delivery vehicles clean and looking professional.

Communicates with warehouse manager regarding maintenance items needed on vehicles and assists with repair and maintenance of equipment.

Organizes products and rotates stock as product is received.

Maintains daily upkeep with products to keep a clean and organized warehouse and yard.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.

Ability to remain focused in a busy environment.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Valid Class A CDL.

Physical Requirements

Must adhere to all safety rules at all times.

Must be able to lift 55+ pounds at a time.

Willingness to work long hours, particularly during high peak business season, and in varying climate and weather conditions.

Frequent exposure to heavy equipment.

May need to work in all weather conditions.

Must be able to travel frequently.

Prolonged periods of sitting in a trailer cab.

Pay And Benefits
We offer a competitive starting pay rate based on experience. Salary: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour.
