Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler / Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role involves material movement, inventory control, and order fulfillment using various types of powered industrial equipment.
This position is intended to convert to a full-time role within 90 days.
Key Responsibilities
Operate sit-down forklift, stand-up reach truck, and order picker
Work at elevated heights (up to 20+ ft) using order picking equipment
Receive, unload, and store incoming materials
Pick, pack, and prepare orders using RF scanners
Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory
Load and ship outgoing materials with proper documentation
Record inventory transactions using warehouse systems (SAP preferred)
Conduct daily equipment inspections
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver's license (required for equipment operation)
1+ year of forklift experience (sit-down, stand-up, and order picker)
Comfortable working at heights up to 20+ feet
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP
Experience using RF scanners
Previous warehouse or material handling experience
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Work Environment
Employees may operate an order picker for extended periods
Work involves elevated racking systems (not ladder-based)
Candidates must be comfortable working at heights
