Description
We are an owner‑operated, majority employee‑owned ESOP company dedicated to operational excellence in the drilling and blasting industry.

Hourly Rate: $20 - $22 per hour, plus travel stipend.

Responsibilities

Perform job‑specific instruction from Superintendents, Blasting Supervisors, or Drill Operators.

Maintain safety‑mindful work in varying weather conditions.

Travel out of town and work overtime as required.

Complete daily maintenance for safe, efficient operation of assigned equipment.

Adhere to Company Safety Policies and Procedures.

Learn drill patterns and terminology, then execute drill patterns and layouts as established by the Blaster Foreman.

Inventory accessories, understand their cost, and maintain drill accessories.

Communicate problems and terrain conditions to the Blaster/Foreman.

Use the Field Accounting system to complete and submit accurate paperwork: drill reports, hole sheets, and signed timecards.

Demonstrate physical agility.

Coordinate supplies with the Blaster; carry all tools and supplies.

Participate in meetings as needed: Foreman’s, Safety, Job‑Specific, and Daily Heads‑Up.

Complete Driller I training within the designated period.

Work unsupervised while maintaining a sense of urgency.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience operating heavy construction equipment (e.g., backhoe, skid steer, excavators, loaders) is helpful.

Valid driver’s license and own transportation.

Experience as a construction laborer.

High level of common sense regarding equipment and machinery operation.

Mechanical aptitude with experience around motors, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Successful completion of ATF screeners.

Physical Requirements

Lift 50–100 lbs., 30–40% of the time.

Work on uneven and loose surfaces in varying weather conditions.

Stoop and bend 30–40% of the time.

Maintain overall physical agility and ability to perform essential functions.
