Database Engineer L1/L2

Responsibilities

Perform routine database maintenance such as backups, indexing, and performance tuning.

Troubleshoot and resolve database issues like performance bottlenecks and connectivity problems.

Monitor database systems for high availability and performance.

Implement and maintain database security, including access controls and patching.

Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.

Collaborate with other teams to integrate database systems with applications.

Document database configurations, processes, and architecture.

Technical Background

Proficiency in DBMS like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server.

Strong SQL skills and experience with performance tuning.

Experience with cloud database services.

Experience with scripting languages for automation.

Qualifications

An active TS/SCI with polygraph is required. Last polygraph within past 7 years.

Level 1: BS + 3 years experience.

Level 2: BS + 5 years experience.

Compensation Range
$100K - $200K
