JOB DESCRIPTION
The Pastoral Intern will report directly to the Care Pastor and serve within the Care Department. This department focuses on emotional, relational, and spiritual support for individuals and families within the church. The internship provides hands‑on experience in pastoral care, support systems, and the rhythms of ministry life.
The intern will help support and lead initiatives related to care follow‑ups, prayer, hospital visits, benevolence, and pastoral communications. They will also observe and contribute to the relational and spiritual development of people in crisis or transition.
This is a part‑time position, requiring 15–20 hours per week, with a $500 stipend at the completion of the program. The internship may also qualify for school credit. The role is available for the Fall term. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. This position is located on‑site in Hoboken, NJ. We have a rolling interview process, so we encourage you to

QUALIFICATIONS
A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ
A passion for people and desire to walk alongside others in their spiritual journey
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Emotional maturity and ability to maintain confidentiality
A heart for care, prayer, and service
Eligibility to work in the U.S.
Must be able to work on‑site
Must be available on Weekends
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support pastoral care initiatives such as prayer, hospital visits, and follow‑ups
Assist in the coordination and communication of care ministry events or initiatives
Participate in weekly team meetings and training opportunities
Shadow and support Care Pastor in counseling and care‑related appointments (when appropriate)
Help write or prepare care‑related communications (emails, cards, devotionals, etc.)
Attend and support Sunday services with a pastoral lens
SCHEDULE
10 – 20 hours per week depending on the candidate
May 26 – August 13, 2026
COMPENSATION PACKAGE
$250‑$500 stipend at the end of the internship
